G722 codec in elastix 1.6.2-37 (asterisk 1.4.36

I have some elastix servers with elastix 1.6.2-37 and asterisk 1.4.36. I'm wondering if the asterisk in the elastix distro has been patched for use g722 codec?
"show translation" in asterisk console shows some translations for g722.
