Generic SIP trunk settings

Hi!

I would like to set general sip trunks to the following service provider: https://www.ephone.ch/
It do'nt work with the data at my disposal. See the attachments.

The first thing to do is to make sure that the firewall checker passes all tests to avoid any firewall related issues.
Then make sure that you use the correct data in your trunk. Do you get a error message in the Event log regarding the failed registration attempt?

The firewall checker OK, see the atachment. The dashboard the following message is written:
Registration at Generic SIP Trunk has failed. Destination (sip:[email protected]:5060) is not reachable, DNS error resolving FQDN, or service is not available.

I would recommend using a supported 3CX provider to avoid any compatibility issues and ensure future compatibly as new versions are being released.

As you can see from the error message it could be a number of things wrong so your provider might be able to tell you what the exact issue is.

Well something is wrong...a Tracert in Windows shows that sip.ephone.hu resolves to IP 86.150.61.51, BUT, it times out. I was going to suggest using the public IP of your provider in place of the URL, in the event you are having an issue with a DNS server, but there is definitely something else going on. I would contact your provider, you may not have the correct information.
