Getting rid of "Line 1 / Line 2"

Older installations always reserve the first two BLF buttons as "Line1" "Line2".

I've NEVER known anyone use these. And indeed I note that on brand new installations, that no longer happens, and ALL the BLFs on any given handset are programmed in accordance to the "BLF" tab on the Extension Setup page.

What I'd like to do is remove the two reserved keys from older installations.

Just not sure where to look. Template? But surely "Updates" has fetched up to date templates for all phones. So something is deliberatly keeping hold of this old setting, over-riding new template options?

Ah - it looks like I might just have answered my own question.

Back when I first wanted to re-purpose these buttons I found I could not.

But i just went into the Webclient (isntead of the console) to look at a client's phone and saw that the first two buttons were so-configured IN the BLF settings page, so I changed them... and it worked! I can only assume that the ability to do this has been introduced since I last looked at the problem (or non-problem as it now is!)
