Hi!
I'm doing 3CX implementation on a client and I came across a situation that's making me very worried.
The client today uses Elastix connected to a gsm gateway. It works normally, but I tried to configure it inside 3CX and I did not get it at all. See below the device configuration screens (as configured today).

How do I configure this in 3CX? I tried it as Generic Gateway, but I did not understand how to fill in this information there.
My biggest concern is that the customer has already purchased the license from 3CX, so obviously want to get started as soon as possible.

What sort of Activity Log do you get in 3CX? Is it attempting to register?
What are the IPs of the device, and of the 3CX server?
I'm going to assume that the SIP Trunk Gateway setting is to be the 3CX server IP, as the IP of the gateway is probably set under Network.

First, thank's for your answer.

The 3cx is installed in AWS cloud. But I tryed with a local installation and don't work to.

If I configure without autentication, apparently register, but dont't work.

I think like you, I believe in the configuration field (SIP Trunk Gateway), I need to put the IP of 3CX so that the connection between the 3CX server and Goip is "freed".

The problem is that I have no idea how to configure that within 3cx. To add in 3cx you need: Trunk number, user name and password. I just have the username and password that are set up in Goip.

You need to check why this is not working.
This device is not supported so we do not know how it works. And we also don't know whether it works correctly or not.

These are the questions 3CX asks you
How many channels each port? - Put 1
What is the main telephone number of the trunk? the main number not the did's (Enter this here or a fictitious number) - put the sim number
What is the IP of the gateway - you know this.
How many simultaneous calls can you make? (1)

These questions are the same questions that are asked in the 3CX Mangement console.

You need to use Registration. And you should create one account per GSM Line..

First, thanks for your answer!!!

Let's to your questions...

Q: how many sim cards you installed in the device?
A: This device supports 8 SIM cards and have 4 in use.

Q: How many lines are active etc? Does it work? - if for example you call from a mobile one of these numbers, do you get activity on the GSM Device?
A: Yes it's work's today in a local Elastix PBX and used to make calls, receive calls does not necessary.

Q: How many channels each port? (1)
A: I believe that have 1 channel for port.

Q: What is the main telephone number of the trunk? the main number not the did's (Enter this here or a fictitious number)
A: I don't have idea. This have 4 sim cards, then I believe his 4 channels.

Q: What is the IP of the gateway?
A: Considering that the gateway is the goip, then:
Local: 192.168.0.220
Remote: 201.48.93.241:8888 redirecting to 192.168.0.220:5060

Q: How many simultaneous calls can you make? (1) per sim)
A: 4 calls

In link's below, you can see print configurations used in Elastix

Ok
You have answered all your questions yourself. Except the main number (which you can get the sim, plug it in a phone and call your real mobile - then you get the number)

Anyway - the questions I asked you are the same questions that 3CX Will ask you when you create a Generic Gateway.

So go over the creation of the wizard one more time in 3CX and answer the same questions you answered me, in the interface.

If you cannot get it working, then you need to contact this manufacturer and ask them questions. Tell them to try it against 3CX. (3CX is free for download for everyone)

This goip don't have a principal number. The call out by free SIM. We can consider a first SIM principal then.

I will go to try configurations again, post results here.

Thank you very much for your help! Excelent week for you!

Hello guys,

I've tried different configurations and I still have a problem. Does anyone know how to configure this Gateway?

PS: I already tried to put it as a sip trunk, but I also did not succeed.

The first problem, is that you are trying to setup a gateway that is remote to 3CX, which, while it may be possible, isn't supported. This is probably going to require some trial and error. the second problem, the gateway isn't a supported device, (which has already been mentioned), but it means that there are probably not many forum members that are using, and are therefore familiar with the device.

The problem is that I have no idea how to configure that within 3cx. To add in 3cx you need: Trunk number, user name and password. I just have the username and password that are set up in Goip.

When you create a gateway trunk in 3CX, you will get a trunk number, and a password. You can choose to use a different password of your choice, as long as they match at both ends. The trunk number that is supplied by 3CX is going to have to be the user name at the gateway end. It is a number sent to 3CX during an incoming call.
