I'm trying to reestablish the connection between 3CX and Google Workspace for user provisioning and sync.
In previous versions, this used to be a manual process whereby you'd create a Google Cloud project, set up the necessary APIs and authorisation, and then copy & paste the information into 3CX.

Now, it's a streamlined 1-click process, however when it fails I've got very little to go by as to exactly what isn't working.

Now when I run the 3CX Connect Wizard, it thinks for a bit and then returns an error:

Precondition check failed.: Cloud billing quota exceeded: https://support.google.com/code/contact/billing_quota_increase

I've deleted some projects in Google Cloud (this is a Google Workspace Enterprise tenancy, I have over 100 projects and have deleted 10+ projects)
I've made sure I'm a Billing Administrator. I've made myself an Owner as well just to be sure. I've contacted Google via the link provided and had an increase approved.

Yet still it fails every single time I go to set it up.

Same issue. We have integrated other apps with google workspace without problems. Any suggestions?

I had to do two things. 1. Get in touch with Google to have the limits lifted (although I'm not sure this actually helped) and 2. go into all of our Google Cloud projects and delete projects we weren't using.

Hi Kaiserh thanks for you reply. I've contacted google about the limits but the reply is that we can do it ourselves. However it is not clear from the logs which limit is causing the problem. I see that there are several projects that's 3cx has created. So you would recommend deleting all the unused 3cx project?clipboard-import-8619123531.png

That's a good start, but you'll have another project (that you may not even be using) that has active billing, and you need to find it and delete it as well.

We have other active projects that have active billing that are connected to our accounts system or website. If we delete these projects then we lose our integration, e.g. google maps api on the website, email and translation in our accounts system. Are you suggesting we need to delete all these projects?

I’ve got no idea what you need to do - but in my case I deleted an inactive job that had a billing account attached to it and then I was able to run the setup properly. I also deleted all the 3CX apps that hadn’t been set up properly.

Hello,

Firstly, of course if you have not yet deleted all the defunct 3CX apps then delete them. Try again and see if the error comes up. If it works, then all good.

If you are still getting the error then firstly try to see what your quota is set to, and how many billing apps are already active.
https://cloud.google.com/docs/quotas/view-manage
It is possible that Google might be taking some time to propagate the quota increase and/or remove any deleted apps from the count.

Best,
KS.

Hi KyriacosS_3CX, I've deleted all the defunct 3CX apps and now I have a new error message.
