Grandstream 503

ok so im here to annoy again... well ive managed everything iv needed except for one last thing i have my Elastix server here in Miami and ive sent Grandstream 503 to different places like Salvador, Venezuela, China, and Guatemala. These 503 ar supposed to capture the line and turn it into a SIP trunk in my Elastix... when i tried it here everything worked like a charm now when they have everything connected over there and i dial my pattern to connect out to my sip its not getting dial tone... so this is my cli log please i would really appreciate any help thanks in advanced

Alex,

It depends in how you are configuring your unit. If you are registering the FXO port of the HT503 to the elastix and you want to get the dial tone from the PSTN connected to the FXO port: you have to configure the unit to use stage method number two (2) and to be able to get the dial tone you have to dial the extension of the FXO and you will get dial tone. Note: you have to register the fxo port to the elastix.

The other way that you can do is configure the HT503 as a trunk. For this you will need to set the unit in peer with your elastix. So when pressing a prefix the call will go through the FXO line and you won't be able to hear the dial tone. In this case you are using the stage method dial tone and all the routing is done by your pbx in this case elastix.
