I have this supported ATA, I'm reading the instructions which are located here; https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/grandstream-ht-fxs/#h.5g2pjfl5mwcl

I'm was able to follow all of the steps; the ATA is running the latest firmware 1.0.41, it uploaded the XML configuration that I downloaded from 3CX. Whenever I pickup the analog phone attached to the port 1 on the ATA, I do get dial tone but if for example I dial any number like 9999 for voicemail I get a fast busy.

Any information in the activity log from that call?

I went back through to start the instructions from scratch; I did a hard reset of the Grandstream; I keep uploading the configuration file and it reboots, but it seems like it doesn't actually apply the file.

So after the upload of the XML file and the device reboots - is the SIP server information filled in? Or it's in the same configuration as a blank/new ATA?

It is in the same configuration as a blank/new ATA.

If you open the xml file, can you see settings for sip account, 3cx server

How you trying to provision the device - lan or sbc

The XML does have the correct 3CX urls in it. I was trying to provision off of our SBC.

Can you try the following
Edit the XML file (OR login to 3CX webclient) and copy the admin password for the device
Login to the unit and try changing the password to the value
-It will likely fail and yell about not meeting requirements

If so, update the password in the 3CX MC and generate a new XML. Try to import that one.

Hi,

I have tested HT-812 with FW 1.0.41.2 via SBC and can confirm that the device will provision normally.

It's possible to provision the device without extensions, and that would prevent you from making calls. You haven't mentioned anything, but please make sure that on the Extensions tab you have actually assigned some extensions.

After the reboot, they should appear in the Phones page as registered:

It seems I was able to get the XML file to upload to the Grandstream. It did change the admin password for it to what 3CX set it as. However the two extensions that I set up aren't registered. I did assign them under the extensions tab. On the Grandstream status page; the extensions show up in there but as Not Registered.

On the FXS ports page, it shows up this, which does include the extension number, and the Authenticate ID is correct in 3CX, I've manually copied and pasted the password from 3CX into the Grandstream, once I apply it, it does blank out the password box, is that by design? It is hard for me to determine is Enable Port, on Yes or No from your interpretation of my screen snip?

Please confirm that

1. The SBC IP is correct (verify with your SBC machine)
2. The ethernet cable is plugged into the correct port, like the example below:

On Chrome v104.xxxx it should appear like this below.
Use Chrome incognito mode window to confirm, because yours doesn't really look right to me.

Hold the reset button on the device for at least 10 sec. until you see the lights flash, just to be sure the reset succeeded.
FW Version used above as reference was:

We are "cooking with gas" as they say, it ended up being an issue with the SBC, I rebuilt the SBC, and it worked fine.
