GrapheneOS & Chat notification

I know I know GrapheneOS.. I followed all the settings used on a 'normal' Android, it always worked. Now with GrapheneOS, chat works but not the chat noticication. Apps like Signal en email notifications are working fine. Anyone got this to work? I dont want to use any Google services ;-)

Try using the keep alive option in the hamburger menu.

I've never tried it as a full replacement, but how I understand it, Keep Alive makes a direct connection to the 3CX without reliance on Google Push, FCM Firebase Cloud Messaging.

It will incur more battery usage, but go ahead and test for all of us who are curious
