GRP2613 Change Ring

I have the latest firmware and in 3cx i have custom ring 2 assigned yet it will not change. If i log into the phone i can see there are

external
queue
ivr

And the ring ton does not change for the external calls which is causing the issue.

EDIT: I've understood what you've meant now. From the management console, the setting "Configure default ringtone" will only change the default internal call ringtone. Note that you need to reprovision the phone after clicking OK when changing the ringtone setting.

For external calls, the values are hard coded in the templates, so any changes on the phone itself will be overwritten.

So the only way to override the template is to pay for an enterprise license and change the script manually? For external that is.
Otherwise each phone needs to get logged into each time I have to update it

If you're talking about customizing templates - then it can be done by any edition of license. If you customize the template, to change the default ringtones used for example, its no longer supported so you'd need to troubleshoot through any problems you may encounter and note that we've not tested this.

Let's just admit that refusing support for a different ringtone is totally stupid. If that's the only change he makes, he won't have more issues anyway. Those phones already have their problems.
