We've purchased a GSC3505 as it is a listed supported phone on the 3CX supported phones page, but we are unable to downgrade the firmware on it to a supported version.

What can we do to get everything supported again?

Thanks

With some devices, once you've applied a certain release, you are no longer able to apply an older version. I went over the release notes for the phone but did not see anything saying that that was the case here. But, it may very well be, if you are correctly applying the downgrade, and it still isn't working.

Yeah, the phone shipped with firmware 1.0.3.11 and 3CX seems to want to put 1.0.1.18 on the device. That firmware is 2 years out of date now. 1.0.3.11 has been out a year and a half...

Tried manually applying the older firmware, but it says it's invalid.

You might ask Grandstream but in general it's possible there's a newer hardware revision that needs a newer firmware. I've seen that with other hardware, and ran into it with Patton this summer.

In the big picture, if it works OK you can probably just proceed and use it. We've had "future" firmware for a while on a client's Yealink conference phone, and eventually 3CX caught up.

we're running into this issue now too. installing new gsc3505 speakers and the phone firmware warning is now red on the system. maybe 3cx can support a newer version some time soon??
