Hello all,

Just a heads up. We enabled Whatsapp integration to a few sites recently. Immediately we have targeting user Phishing / Social engineering attempts to our teams.

Obviously, this is a training issue for staff using 3CX, but I thought I would mention it.

Hi Nick,

Do you mean they are generically targeting you, or are you saying there's something further that implies they have access to something they shouldn't?

Otherwise this is pretty much standard.

I am saying this is a new attack vector we are seeing on customers we are enabling with Whatsapp integration. Not your fault, but still certainly worth mentioning.

You are right, it's a good heads up for newcomers to WhatsApp messaging to avoid social engineering, and being tricked into sharing information or taking actions that would compromise their company.

We will take your feedback into consideration.

Hi JohnS_3CX,
do you know if there is a way to block chats initiated by suspicious users?

Thanks,
Martino

Currently there is no way to ban / block WhatsApp of SMS senders.
