Hi guys,

I'm currently trying to understand if Dial-in support video in webmeetings.
I've succesfull set up a Huawei TE30, wich is a SIP conference device, and it is working for audio, but not for video. So, i don't know if this is a limitation of Webmeeting by not supporting video on dial-in, or if the protocols used by the Huawei TE30 is not supported. TE30 uses H.263 4CIF / H.264 BP HP SVC for video.
Also, when looking on the statistic of my meeting, it shows Signalling: connected Media: failed. Maybe this is the reason the video is not working?
I know its an old device, but it would be amazing if i could use this on online meetings. For internal calls, audio and video are working fine. I just cant figure out how to use it on webmeeting.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

dial-in is audio-only! Therefore it is expected that you don't get the video of the device.

However, the Dial-In state should not be "failed". This general states we can not connect quickly to the HTTPS port of your 3CX installation.

To connect something on a big screen/con-room have a look here and connect the device to a std PC,NUC or Chromebox https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/video-conferencing.html

Oh, this is very disappointing. I know there are modern options for this, but they are expensive. We are just looking forward using this Huawei TE30 in some way, because its a very good piece of hardware, stuck with old protocols.

Do you have any suggestion on using it for online meetings?

The suggestion for a fully integrated conference room solution we recommend (audio and video) is what was mentioned above:

Hooking a device like the ones mentioned, with a good camera and a USB/Bluetooth conference room speaker will allow you to fully utilize all the bells and whistles 3CX WebMeeting has to offer.
