I am updating vacation schedules across clients, all on 18u2, and ran into a bit of a bug. I am not sure if I can describe it well enough but I will try. It's happening on all of them, in Firefox, but it seems to be working OK in Chrome, in limited testing.
It gets better, if you change the day and click the OK button while the dropdown is open, it saves correctly. Also if you pick a number with the mouse, it saves correctly. Have not had either of those fail to update. Also in testing this numerous times while writing this post, it sometimes gets into a state where "it works" but only after I get it to "not work" via the above. Not quite sure what I'm doing to get it to work. Just now I've had it alternate, even, which implies it may be inconsistent in some condition?
I realized all this because I changed a bunch of holidays at a client, and afterwards realized they were all still the 2021 year and day.
The short answer is I'm sure "use Chrome" but it seems like it should be a fixable bug, and may be quietly somewhere else in the interface, though I haven't noticed anything in all my time before now. Don't recall exactly how I did the updates last year for example.
- click any existing holiday to edit
- click the day dropdown to open the dropdown
- press the up arrow key to change the day number (many in 2022 are one day prior to 2021)
- click the day dropdown to close (do not click a number, click the down arrow)
- press OK to save
