Home Setup - Suggestions ?

Sorry to post but I've been scratching my head and can't work out an easy/elegant solution to this, so thought I might look silly and post it here for suggestions.

Running 16.4 with a number of Yealink T48G / T58A handsets for home. Would like to be able to have handsets setup per location (i.e. Lounge Room / Study / Rumpus / Shed / DECT etc) but also have individual DID's for all 6 people at home. Is there anyway to have 'location extensions' for the handsets, but also have it so if anyone receives a call the phone(s) ring and they can see (or hear with different ring tones) who the call is for and pickup their call on any of the handsets? When dialling out then just select their line and dial out with their CLI then also being seen.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Since no one actually sits beside a set, as they would at an office, if you do use DIDs...have each ring into an individual Ring Group. Each ring group would ring all phones in the house, so that anyone could answer any phone. If no one was home, the call would then time out and go to the DID "owners" voicemail (you'd have to build a (dummy) extension that does belong to each user). Set up to send an email when there is a message (email to SMS?). A DID name can be added to incoming caller ID to identify who the call is for. Different ringtones would be much more difficult, although some DECT phones do talking caller ID, so the DID name prefix would come across. If some one does answer a call, for someone that is not home, simply forward to that persons voicemail.
Dialling out, using their DID is bit more difficult if it is only one trunk group. The only way (at present) to do this would be to place a call from their own extension number (3CX App?). Or, you would need a line key, for each user, on each set. Unless, of course, 3CX introduces a new, selectable, CID feature, in the next while.

You can intercept calls from any phone when you hear a ring tone and have a phone near or app , just dial *20* to pick up .

If you did place calls out, displaying a "main" number, incoming calls to that number could route to an IVR so that caller could select the person the wanted. Each selection would forward to each users ring group, adding name from DID , and ring all sets in the house. People that knew, could still dial the DID directly.
