Hello,

I am having the strangest issue with hotdesking. It seems to be random, but when some users attempt to logout of the device, it doesn't reset to allow someone else to log in. The device then has to be rebooted in order for it to complete logout. Yet, when a user logs in the phone correctly resets and provisions to the whomever the user is. There is no correlation between models it seems all models we use can experience this issue.

You can log in to a user on a hot desking device wihout having to log out another user first.

However, do ensure that the phones are on the proper 3CX firmware, are not using any custom templates.

All phones are current with 3CX Approved firmware; we are not using custom templates with our hotdesking phones.

We are still facing this issue. I've restarted the server and checked for updates; nothing seems to resolve this issue. It's weird because not all users experience it.

You could at least provide the PBX version that you're on and other mandatory info to get a fuller picture.

@leachp I assume that you're on Update 4 or less.
In the Update 5 we've made logout operation much more robust than it was before. We've come up with 9 possible cases when SIP NOTIFY might not reach the phone, and made sure that it can be solved by repeating the Logout procedure w/o rebooting the phone.
Please update your PBX when Updates 5 gets released and after some time tell us if you see phones stuck even after few logout attempts.

I guess that would be helpful heh. Thank you for your reply, we are running Version 20.0 Update 4 (Build 487 Release). We will wait for the update to release, and I'll follow up once it's installed and tested.

Thanks Again!
