How do I add Yealink-T31P as a "Normal Phone" like the ones generated by 3CX during upgrade?

When I migrated from v18 to v20 these phones were migrated over:


Example IP Phone tab config on one of the above phones:



Now when I try to add a new one it shows up as local phone:


These phones aren't local, I'm using a google cloud server. Example config from "Local Phone" :



I just want to be able to set them up like I did in V18...

This is what I get when I try to add the phone:





Whenever I change settings on the phones, I check the phone's web UI and I do get a "Registering" status, the first one did get registered but the other two won't. I'm assuming the problem is that they're "Local Phones" and their IPs are all local instead of to their public IP. That's just my guess though.

I've been googling so much my head hurts .. Any help would be much appreciated.

Finally got it to work!!! I had to create that custom template like in the guide. I also had to disable BLOCK REMOTE NON-TUNNEL EXTENSIONS in User > Options tab

For 2 of the phones, for some reason the settings weren't being updated (I'm not sure if it was on the phone side or 3CX side, so I changed a property , eg. Username, then saved, then changed it back.

You are using remote STUN. This is not supported in 3CX v20. You need to use an SBC and provision the phones through it.

Does an SBC have to be installed locally where the phones are? The 7 phones are split up across 3 locations (3 , 3 , and 1), can I use one SBC for all?

Every location needs an SBC for this phones.

Or use a router phone though the T3 series can’t be a router phone.

Note per the guide https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t3-series/ I think for the step 3 “Specify your SBC or router phone. If this is the first phone in your network” the partial sentence there was meant to be deleted. For some T4 and T5 phones the phone can be its own SBC making the phone portable.
