Hi,

When an incoming call arrives for me, will BOTH my mobile and my notebook ring? How do I control which device should ring?

I installed the Android client on my mobile and then open the SAME attachment that was used to install the Windows client on my Windows notebook.

Thanks!
Abraham

In this setup both will ring at the same tine as both devices have the same extension id

What setup for call flow are you wanting

Hi Saqqara,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Is it really possible to control/configure which device should/not ring?

Or, as of I have configured both devices (mobile and notebook) using the same extension ID, all will ring by default and not possible to control which should ring and which should not?

Regards,
Abraham

Using the same extension number on more than one device, is SIP Forking, and any of the devices registered, will respond to an Invite. An alternative would be to assign a different extension number to the device you use the least. You could then forward unanswered (after a designated time) calls to that device from the primary number. With the second device having a different number, you could also try putting both in a ring group set to sequential. The first extension would ring, then the second.

You could also just ignore (or decline) the call, if you are using your mobile, and let it go off to the extensions voicemail..

Hello @Abraham Joseph

Alternatively to what @leejor said you should be aware that the mobile device is using Push to ring when the 3CX client app is not in the foreground. You could when in front of the PC, open the client app and select the option "Exit - Ignore PUSH". This will not allow the client on the Android device to ring while you are in the office. Once you leave and you want the Android client to ring re-open the app and you are done.

Hi,
It seems that the Android 3CX mobile does not respond to incoming calls when the mobile is in sleep mode. Is this correct?
May I knowi s there any setting in 3CX mobile client to wake the Android mobile when an incoming call is received?

If push is correctly configured then the 3CX client for Android should wake up when an incoming call arrives. Make sure that Push i enabled under extension settings and that the client is excluded from any battery optimisation settings on the device.

Hi,

From this below screenshot of 3CX Extension, the Push function is already enabled. Just to clarify that at this time, CalnCall has not activated the SIP Trunk yet, and we are only testing the Android client using wireless in the internal LAN.

To recap the issue, when the Android is not in sleep mode, internal calls can get thru and the called mobile rings, but when the Android is in sleep mode, the called mobile does not ring.

I see that you created a new thread regarding this issue so lets continue troubleshooting there as this is irrelevant with the original question of this thread.

Thank you for your reply. We can discuss the matter where the post opened for this issue seperately.

Thank you :)

Is there a Library of common voice recordings that can be used for the 3CX Digital Receptionist instead of having to build from scratch? Eg,
“Hello, for Sales, please press 1; for Support, please press 2”

No these options have to be recorded or uploaded by you. Anything that is in the system can be selected by the drop down menu.

From what i can see in the images you already have an extension 0010 so you cannot create a digital receptionist with the same extension number.
