How do you regularly test incoming call end to end completion and monitor reporting?

How are you all regularly verifying the phone system is working, through and though?

I'm looking for an automated system that will make a call to a phone number, dial an extension, leave a message and figure out if everything worked properly.

Anything out there?

Thanks!

Most users probably wouldn't even consider going to those lengths. 3CX can send alerts, via email, of many common issues.

If you have a specific issue or are suspecting something please do let us know what it is so that we can hopefully help.

Yeah, it's not the common I worry about. I simply want to know, before my customer finds out, if incoming calls aren't making it all the way through.

Unfortunately, it's probably going to be a customer complaint, alerting you to an issue. There is only so much you can do. Even if you set up something to determine if calls are getting though, your customers probably already knows at that point.

As a complete wildcard approach, you could enable CDR output on your customer PBX & then use CallSequitur to give you a management overview of whether the PBX 'looks' to be running OK. One of the 'last 24 hour' chart types (call volumes, SIM calls, traffic, average ring time or average call duration) would probably give you an 'at a glance' confidence factor that everything is running normally by judging the mix of incoming, outgoing and internal call types:

Keep in mind that if it is something critical, like an internet connection failure, for whatever reason, then the PBX is not going to be able to notify you.
