Hello all;

Except for the Video Conference, I would like to enable the Audio dial-in to join the webmeeting in which some can use the computer or 3CX mobile app for the scheduled webmeeting but someone can join by the phone is no internet is available.

I am using PRI and DID, should I use the DID number to direct the incoming call to my "7000" for Audio dial-in?

Thanks!

You can either use a DID and point it directly to the 7000 extension. Then add that DID in Settings -> Conferencing -> Audio -> External Numbers. This will add it to the email template and Webclient view.

Also, you can use an IVR and people can either dial manually 7000 or press a DTMF and you set that input to go to the 7000 ext.

Thank you!

Also, I put the designated DID number to "Optionally assign a DID to receive calls directly to this extension ", if I configure here; do I need to create any Incoming Rule for Audio Dialin?

No this will create the Inbound Rule when you select a DID.

Hi;

If I enter my DID number in 10 digits format without "-" dash, the phone number will show 10 digits in invitation email.

I am wondering, when enter the external number in Settings -> Conferencing -> Audio -> External Number, can I use this format (416-123-4567).

The string or the number in this "External Number" field is for showing in the invitation email only, or it has other usage?

No, this string is not used for routing so you can enter what you want. It should take it from there for the emails.

Hi;

If I want to use IVR and DTMF feature, if the system have default prompt for "If you are using touch tone phone, press <keypad number> to join the meeting now,...." like this, or I have to record myself?

If using IVR, I think, I have to go through these steps, right?
  1. create an IVR number.
  2. Using key menu from 0 to 9 and direct it to audio meeting extension 7000, or whatever it is.

In Setting | Conference | Conference Extension, pick the created IVR number in step 1.

No.

  1. setup an IVR (with or without DID pointing to it, that's your choice, you may redirect from another IVR).
  2. set the DTMF key you want to the 7000 extension which is the bridge.
  3. the 7000 extension will take care of asking for the meeting ID and such, you can try it from your own internal extension.

Do not change the Conference Extension in Settings. That's only if you need to change the bridge extension, it won't do what you think.

You need to record your own IVR Greeting. Or purchase the greeting from voice talent. Fiverr.com is a great place for that.
