How to add local landline number into 3cx?

How to add local landline number into 3cx? which media require for integration.

I have installed 3cx in the cloud AWS now I need to add a local landline number for inbound and outbound calling.
can someone please how can I add the local landline number? can I do that with FXS?
any help would be much appreciated

You'd have to use a gateway with an FXO port, to connect to a PSTN line. Unfortunately, using on a remotely hosted system is not supported. You could try using VPN, or trial and error, but no guarantees that it will work. Some people have had varying degrees of success, if you go through the forum, but it is not for the uninitiated.

You might consider porting the number to a SIP provider, if possible, or hosting 3CX locally.

If you are using a SipTrunk service port the landline to the trunk.

If you currently use, or have access to a SIP provider, then that is the best way to have service to a cloud hosted 3CX server. That would mean porting the PSTN number to an existing SIP service, or converting the number to new SIP service, if possible.

You could try getting the gateway to work, with the current setup, but it would be expected that you have a good idea of what you are doing, network wise. It's not to say that it won't work, but, going by past posts, on the forum, you have a very good chance of running into (audio) issues.

The easiest solution, if having a PSTN number is a must, is to host 3CX yourself, locally, even on a Raspberry Pi, if your call volume allows.
