How to answer a secondary call on a Snom

Hello !


First timer here, thank you for your help.

I have a customer that need the second call beep. I enabled it and it works : I see the incoming call on the D335.

Now I have a question : how to pick-up that secondary call ? Is it Snom-specific or it is 3CX-generic (e.g. a shortcut).

Bonus question : how to switch between both the calls ?

Hi Thomas,

This is always phone specific, and each model might behave differently so you might want to look at Snom documentation to learn what they support.

I think the easiest is to edit your extension first, and assign 2 line keys on the phone. Then reprovision it.


When a 2nd call comes in, you can press line key 2 to pick it up. But if you have a 3rd call come in, you will need another line key and so forth..

As @JohnS_3CX stated, however keep in mind if you are on a call your phone will not ring, the line lights will flash to indicate a incoming call

Ok it makes sense. Thank you for your cooperation. I'll try to update the status of this thread, but I wont'be able to do so before 3 weeks ahead.

No problem. Just a note to keep in mind, do not switch between the calls with the line keys.

If you hang up one call, it will automatically transfer that person to your other line and you don't want that.

Use the Retrieve button instead. Take a look at Snom's documentation for the details.
