Hi,

I have voip.ms integrated with 3CX, I have added multiple did's to the trunk and also assigned the did's to the specific user. I would like their caller id number when the users make the Outbound call to show their assigned DID. At the moment the only the mail trunk number is being displayed then the callers call out... i also want the users name to displayed as well depending on which user is calling..

can anyone help me with the configuration for this?

It is an extension setting: Outbound Caller ID

I am new to 3CX .. is it possible for you to give me a step-by-step or share a link where I can find it.. because there are not many options in the extension

Is where to start when you are new to 3cx and want a better grasp at setting up 3cx .

Outbound caller id can be found on the first screen when opening an extension.

Do make sure you enter the number in a correct format that corresponds to your sip providers needs.

+1 to what @VoIPTools and @JosIPVG each said.

It's located on the General tab of each extension.

Hey thanks for the advise.. however when i am entering the DID assigned to a specific extension. The caller ID number is still showing as the Main Trunk DID.

Do i have to create separate trunks for it to show unique caller id numbers for each extension?

No that's probably just a configuration to set correctly in your trunk.

Is your provider a supported one?

Did you use the VoIP.ms template when creating the trunk?

If so, then caller ID should be taken from the extension settings, if datafilled there.

There are a number of settings in the trunk outbound parameters that deal with where caller ID is taken.

Two in particular are From : User Part and Remote Party ID- Calling Party: User Part , I use Originator caller ID, which not only passes a DID number set against an extension, but also any caller Id of a forwarded number when using VOIP.ms.

These settings should work from the default template, but everyone has different requirements

Make note of the original settings before making any changes, as putting in the wrong parameters can break all going calling.
