Hi,

we use 3cx with a local VM and a locally provisioned Gigaset N720. Almost all phones are DECT. When making an attended transfer, how can it be cancelled? I.e. After some seconds you realise that you dialled the wrong extension or that that person isn't here today, how can you get the call back to your handset? And is the same also possible for blind transfers?

Stefan

If they behave the way my Gigaset SIP DECT sets do, and you realize you have dialled an incorrect number, you simply hang up and the caller that was put on hold, will ring back to your handset.

So...talking, flash, dial partial number (oops)...hang up, your handset rings, answer, re-connected to original party

Where a complete attended transfer is... talking, flash, dial Ext number, converse, flash, call is transferred.

Hi, And is the same also possible for blind transfers?

Stefan
Although I have no experience, blind transfer is very dangerous. It can cause some damage.

very dangerous? damage? in what way, pray tell?

I have not tried a blind transfer on the Gigaset, however, to use that on an ATA, requires more than a simple flash that is required for an attended transfer, you must also dial a star code. So...i'm thinking it will be a bit more complicated on the Gigaset as well (if it is possible). I'll look into using blind transfer.
