I want to ask about the solutions and the needed hardware for this situation.

company has 17 external phone lines from PSTN and 100 analogue phone extensions inside this company.

we don't like to replace the analogue phones with IP phones to reduce the cost.

So should I use ATA to convert from analogue to digital or there is another solution.

And, is there a card to carry the 17 PSTN lines? or what should I do? how to connect them to elastix server?

Thanks

Hi, i will recomend you Xorcom, its a very good product, it works in usb port of the server and you can have 32 ports for FXO or FXS in a single unit.

You might think it is costly to get new hardware, but I would take the time and examine both scenarios. It might be beneficial in the long run.

- cost of service for a PRI line (23 lines) vs SIP vs 17 PSTN
- cost of hardware to handle the lines
- cost of hardware to handle the handsets. To handle 100 analog phones, you would need 100 FXS port hardware vs a new SIP phone (Yealink is a very nice, affordable and customizable phone)
- Functions provided from a SIP phone vs analog phone
- Time require to provisioning the phones

Is Astribank same as Elastibank ?
