how to define wich phone is use in CTI mode automatically

Hi there,

I have two phones at my extension. I want to use the 3cx windows tapi with our software. But every tine the 3CX Client starts I have to select which phone I want to use with CTI/Tapi

Any change to define that permanentally, so that it starts automatically with the right phone?

You can do this by:

Navigating to "Extensions" in the management console and edit the desired extension.
Navigate to the "Phone Provisioning" tab and select the 3CX client from the drop down menu.
Head down to "Preferences" and select "IP Phone" in the call control.

That'll make the desktop client load in CTI mode.

You can also highlight multiple Extensions on the top level if you want to apply that to more extensions

but in the management console I only can select that the client starts in CTI mode. But I cannot select which phone it should use as standard.

I have two phones registered (one desktop phone and one DECT phone) at my extension, and I wonder how I can tell the 3cx client that it should start in CTI mode and use the desktop phone instead of asking me every time which phone I want to use

Please note that it is not possible to select a default IP phone in the windows client. You could use the Web client however where you can select the device that you want to use.

but the webclient does not support TAPI.

i resolved it by using a different registration for my dect and forward the calls from my main number to the dect
