I have configured a trunk using a private LAN connection to the PBX. I can see that 3CX/PBX sends 180 and starts sending media to the port advertised in the initial INVITE sent by the provider; the PBX should not do this; it should send media only after 183. I found NO place to force 183 or 180 under trunk settings. Does anyone know about this?

In the generic XML, they have IsSupportReinvite is set to 0. This means 3CX does not send re-INVITEs to update media streams. This settings is no longer available on the GUI under trunk settings. I'm not sure, they they have removed it and in the back end they maintain it.

Hello @Lasantha Game Kankanamge

I am not sure I understand the issue here. The media you see are from the 180 Ringing. The media server starts sending media as soon as the 200 OK starts processing. Sometimes you will see some packets right before the 200 OK as the port is being established.
As you can see from your capture media packers are sent 5 seconds after the 180 ringing. Also wireshark groups medias packets together with the same timestamp so you will need to look at the individual packets to determine when exactly the PBX starts sending audio.

To answer your question, there is no place to adjust 180/183 behavior and the " IsSupportReinvite " setting will not affect this.
