Hello Everyone,

we are investigating some reports orf a customer that complains that some incoming calls are landing to a former employee.

after several search, we understood that this former user had still his 3CX app installed on his smartphone.then a new user comes, registered a new app,
and because forking is allowed, both users where still receiving calls.

Now my question to the round is, how can we, as administrator, quickly identify which users are using a 3CX smartphone App??

because in phones tab of admin view, i can for my part, only see the hardware phones and the PWA PC apps, but i can't observe anymore the smartphone apps logged in,
what if i'm not wrong was visible at same place in V18, but i can't be sure 100%.

in my point of view, we should have on "Phone" tab of "user" menu, a full view of all registered SIP devices in use by this user, to quickly identify wich device can be a risk and delete it,
without that, we have a security breach and we are still blind about who is using the extension.

Does anyone know if we have a way to identify th smartphones app in use per system?
thanks for your help

When an employee leaves, either delete the extension, or Clear it, or use the password reset from the admin panel which will disconnect the app (it will presumably then blacklist itself by failing to log in).

Dashboard > Active Connections doesn't show the mobile apps.

Hi @SteveITS,

thanks for your answer, i was not aware that changing the password, that disconnect the smartphone app, i was thinking that only affect PC app.

for me it's enough to break any security doubt.

Although i personnaly think that 3CX develloperd should add a view of the "Online smartphone app users" into the admin console, for many reasons it can be usefull and helpfull in many Troubleshooting scenarios. but this is another discussion than the initial one here.

wish you a nice day.

Just to state it, “forgot password” on the web client login page does not disconnect any apps. Only the Reset functionality.
