Hi ,
lots of customers don't like the audio message coming from 3cx when they are connected to the voicemail, when they want to record the voicemail 3cx message give to the caller some instructions with: " press * to be forwarded to the operator or # to ......" is it possible to cut this audio and just let the caller put is message and hang up and nothing else.

Very often we don't have operator in small business office so it's idiot to try to forward the call to a non existing operator. so i need to create a virtual operator who ends the call to not disturb office when they don't want to take the incoming calls

thank's for those who have experienced a fix for that.

Hello @aws2p

Please note that you can create your own prompt set and record your own messages. You can also edit the existing files to create one that meets your needs (if you know how).
If the caller presses "*" however by accident the PBX will still route the call to the operators extension as the functionality is still there and cannot be disabled.

Hi Yiannish

thanks for answer, it's an heavy way to copy complete prompt set to just change an audio message, and in that way if 3CX update the original prompt set this should have no impact on audio files copied, so managing manually each update is not my wishes .

I understand 3cx features remain the same if user press * .

In my opinion, i think this audio is not really in phase with the customer need and introduce some confusion with old person. it could be so simple to only record voice mail with nothing else.

Like i said in small office they don't have an operator so WTF to forward to if there's no. We need to find a solution when customer ask us but when operator is not existing ,best way should be almost to deliver a specific audio message ending properly the call.

If the user just records a message on their voicemail box then this prompt does not play. (The caller can still hit * though.)
However, for Ring Group Voicemails, this is the default greeting and there is no option to change it right now per Ring Group.
And changing promptsets is not that much of a hassle. Record or change the message on your computer, then you will have the file available to upload when needed. You do not have to record the greeting as new every time.

Thanks for precisions , for now i've a ring group forwarding no response calls to extension 100 "operator" voicemail in office hours , out of office hours calls are forwarded to another extension 120 which is a virtual operator with voicemail disabled and manage with extension exceptions two ivr messages one 803 for specific hours (afternoon) other 802 for all hours. The 2 IVR are set with voicemail available forwarded to ext. 100 voicemail.

So if i well understood your answer in this 2 ways there's no option , i'have only to duplicate all the promptset and modify the audio file.
