So, Call came in to the system.Person receiving the call accidentally hit the "Page All" button instead of "SP1".
Now the caller is sitting in Ext 710 - Multicast Paging Group.
I tried many things to retrieve this call.
*20*710 - 404 error.
I looked at 3cx Phone - in all the different views - could not see it to transfer anywhere.

I see the active call in the management console. But all we can do there is drop the call.

Are there any options to retrieve this call?

As a side note - nobody could tell the call was there, except you heard breathing on the intercom. To program multicast paging on the BLF, its a Custom Speed Dial. It would be nice (and requested I believe) that we could do a BLF for a Paging Group - and the BLF would be RED to show it is active.

I have found customers are too sloppy when I configure the paging ring group number as a custom speed dial on the phones. They end up like you said above or also parking the page because the phone also has shared parking.

For best reliability I have had to resort to custom template and using the yealink page function to create a blf key to have the phone make the multicast page.

This prevents the phone from being able to transfer or park calls to and from paging.

Custom templates are not preferred but to me they are preferred over having the above problems.

It would be great to have 3CX able to make these page keys through the console (avoiding custom templates). Also allows you to use multicast paging in a cloud hosted environment since the phones are making the page request to the other local phones and horns. With the ring group that won’t travel from a cloud hosted system to the phones and horns as its multicast.

And to answer the question when a call is transferred to a multicast paging group there is no way to retrieve the call as the call is not visible in presence. This is possible with a paging group though.
