Hi;
I am testing the Operator voicemail function in my new setup, I make a call from my mobile number to company main line, pretend Operator is not available and the IVR kick in to prompt for "Press 1 for leaving message...", after I press "1" it takes few seconds before the system prompt another greeting for "Start recording after the beep...". How can I reduce the cap after the caller press "1"?

In my setup, I have...

  1. Extensions | Operator Extension | Forwarding Rules.
  2. If I do not answer calls within: 10 seconds. Forward internal calls to: IVR 101

In IVR 101
  1. Operator prompt for "For leaving message, press 1"...
  2. Key "1" > Transfer to Voicemail > Destination : Operator Ext.

Any idea to shorten the cap? Thanks!

So you've made the Operator VM go to an IVR to then send it back to the Operator VM?

Why not just have it go to the Operator EXT, ring 10 seconds then VM of Operator.

if they leave a VM they leave a VM.

Good idea but I want to find out how can I use the IVR feature while the operator is not available.

And, I also enable "If I am busy or my phone is unregistered, forward calls to:" direct to the same IVR.
