Hi;

I configured my operator extension to forward to the IVR 101 "If the phone is busy....", the IVR allows caller to Dial "1" for leaving the voice mail to Operator voice mailbox, once the "1" is dialed, I have a greeting message to say "please start recording after the beep", however; I found about almost 5 seconds dead air between my first message prompt and the second message prompt. Am I doing some setup wrong, or what is the best setup for let the caller Dial 1 for voice mail, then it start the "beep" indicator for voice mail recording?

thanks!

Have you modified any of the system recordings? There was a "please wait while I transfer your call" recording played, in that "transition" period.

Thanks!

This is what I set in system for how to prompt the message if the Operator is on another call or not answer the call in 15 seconds.

1) If the call not answered in 15 seconds, or If the Operator is on another call forward to IVR 101

In IVR 101,
When the IVR 101 trigger, it prompt the message for "Dial 1 for leaving voice message...", in the menu, if the "1" is dialed, the action is "Transfer to voice mail" to Operator mailbox.

Once it is transfered, the message prompt set in Extension | Forwarding Rules | Greeting will start.
