How to start with the Windows Store app?(n00b)

Dear experts,

I am totally new to the 3cx software and am baffled by the Windows Store app.
After installing the app (either beta and normal versions in the Store), it silently runs in background.
It won't show any GUI, especially the dialog where to enter the 3CX URL and so on, as explained in the Store app page.

What is wrong?

DETAILS

Windows is win10 22H2 64-bit on a VMware Workstation VM.
Visible in Task manager: 3CXSoftphone.exe with command line: "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\3CXDMCC.3CXBeta_20.0.713.0_x64__bhm4yemhnd70e\3CXSoftphone.exe"
