I am trying to connect a sip trunk with a provider from Mexico (Alestra / Axtel) but when I put the data as in the guide, I get an error
SIP Server / Call Manager ID: 12293
Registration at Alestra has failed. Destination (sip: 200.94.26.150: 5060; lr) is not reachable, DNS error resolving FQDN, or service is not available.

try pinging it from the terminal and all packets are lost, but if I ping it from my laptop the packets arrive without problem

Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Change the 3CX server dns settings to google - 8.8.8.8 and try again.

Can you ping any website from the server i.e. www.google.com

Have you tried changing DNS server information on the 3CX device?

Sorry they are something new with the platform, I have been searching but I can't get anywhere to change the DNS, where can I change them?

As you have opened up terminal you must be running debian

You need to modify a file - /etc/network/interface

Search the web , how to change this file

Hi, this has nothing to do with DNS!! It's just a generic message, but as he entered the SIP server as IP, there is no issue with the DNS most probably.

@jtrejo, Have you tried to follow this : https://www.3cx.com/docs/mexican-sip-trunk-alestra/#h.kxhcsphpav81

And also make sure your credentials are ok and ask the provider if he activated the sip trunk etc. :)

This is what I was told from the PC it arrives but from the 3cx it does not arrive so it does not connect, in fact I configured it in an Issabel PBX and it connected without problemsping3cx.PNGping lap.PNG

Did you run the firewall checker ? Is it all green ?

yes, only trunk is red because i configured a trunk that is not in the 3cx provider list

did you find a way to fix this? , I'm having the same problem since last friday, more than 6 months working fine y 3 pbx started having problems with the sip trunks. Debian 9, I even reinstalled, ping to to sip server works, called the sip trunk provider, no way to get the trunks registered.

if the trunk is not supported, you should make sure to ask for proper parameters to the SIP provider to make sure it works.

the trunk is supported, i hava another that isn´t, the problem is that i can reach the ip 200.94.26.150 from 3cx but of another device i can reach the ip, example from my laptop
