I'm trying to get video calling working from an i64 door phone to the 3cx app. Audio is working but video just shows up as a grey screen.

Thanks,
Jake.

Chances are that the i64 is the same as all other Fanvil devices and uses h.264 and the mobile apps only use VP8, so you aren't going to see video on mobile devices. 3CX should really update the known limitations on this page https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/fanvil-sip-doorphones/

It should work if the i64 calls the 3CX webclient or desktop client (confirmed).
Answer the call and then click the video button, it may take a second or two for the video to appear.

It will not work if you call the mobile client though, the video codec is not supported.

Is there a timeline when this will be support on the Mobile Client?
Would be a great enhancement.

There must be a setting that needs to modified on the i64, I have an i31s and can click from the web client and see the video and audio but on the i64 i get audio but no video not sure what I'm missing?

Another thing to add, video doesnt work when the doorphone is set to ring a call queue, it must be a ring group or individual extension of course

This is normal due to the way queues work (ring groups and normal calls can be considered as "direct to your phone", whereas queues are not direct calls to your phone and the codecs are not yet established during ringing).

There is nothing that can be done to change the queue behavior, but after you answer the call on a videophone or 3CX client you could try to press the video button.

While the call is running and depending on how the other side behaves you can get video enabled mid-call. Just keep in mind that this can vary across device manufacturers, it might not work for all.
