We are experiencing an issue where specific phone numbers are not getting all the way to voicemail when calling into a ring group.

Inbound calls go to RG 800. If those calls are not answered they then transfer to the voicemail for extension 100. Most numbers get through and are able to leave a voicemail. At least one specific number never transfers from RG to VM.

What is the ring time set for this RingGroup?
In North America, most providers impose a limit on the ring duration for unanswered calls. Therefore, it's possible that Telnyx allows for a longer ring period, but their upstream provider may enforce a shorter one, or the caller's provider might also possible impose a shorter duration (generally 120 seconds).

This could explain why sometimes it works and other times it doesn't.

Adding an IVR before the RingGroup will force the PBX to answer and prevent upstream providers from canceling the call as unanswered.

Ring Time is set to 30 seconds.

Ring Time is set to 30 seconds.

Here’s the reformulated text in English:

Start a capture (pcap),
reproduce the issue,
stop the capture.

Analyze the PCAP, and you will find the information about where the "BYE" originates.
