IOS links open in Safari

Hi I have an issue with IOS devices and my click2meet web meeting link or any schedule web meetings. When I email an ios user my click2meet URL the link received opens up in safari even when the user has the 3CX Web Conference App installed.

I have tested this myself with both links in ios mail and the outlook app. I have tried deleting the 3cx web conference app and re-installing but still the link opens in safari with an un supported browser message, has anyone had this issue? I am using V16 and 3CX Webmeeting 10.6.1.2

So far my testing has been on an iPad running Ipad OS.

Hi there, due to technical restrictions of the iOS platform, this is correct. Pressing the login button in your Safari browser should open the application.

Hi LeonidasG thank you for a quick response. The scenario you describe is not what happens. The page on safari is presented with the message 'Unsupported Browser, 3CX Webmeeting requires google chrome, firefox or opera, download one of these and try again' The login button is greyed out so you can't press it. (see attached)

Strange.

Please list the following:

1. Device Model.
2. Version of the 3CX WebMeeting app installed.
3. What e-mail app you're using to open the meeting link from.

Inbuilt Mail App although the same is true for the Outlook App.

Just to let you know, as an iPad Pro owner:
starting with iOS 13, it runs a new operating system, called iPadOS. On iPadOS, Safari now appears as a desktop browser, ie different than mobile user-agent. So, technically, all of you are correct - WebMeeting properly reports unsupported browser, as it would appear on a MAC Safari.

OK, for iPad Pro users:
I've got some iPadOS 13+ workaround thanks to one of my teammates:

- go to the iPad's Settings/Safari/Settings for websites/Request Desktop Website/ and ther turn the "All Websites" setting OFF.
In this way, Safari's user-agent will be iPad instead of Macintosh.
