We changed ISPs and got a new IP address yesterday morning. We went into the dashboard and did all the tricks we seen on the forums listed below such as

  • Change to Static IP
  • Change Back to Dynamic IP (Keeps saying detecting for last 18+ hours even after restart of ALL services and REBOOT of server)
Can someone PLEASE help me with this issue my phones are down and I was up till 1am trying to get this to work. All help is GREAT.. Thank you in advance.

Oh this is the message in the activity LOG : Your public IP has changed and 3CX updated your FQDN records from .xxx.xx.xx.xx to .
where it says to . that is actually what it says there is NOTHING after that.

A major rarity but if your FQDN is released it then goes back to 3CX control which means someone else could use it.

It could be this has happened, check with an nslookup to the FQDN, do you recognise the bound IP (if one is bound).

Shows up with my old IP address..

So it is still resolving, I would pop a ticket across to 3CX and request a status check that is quite bizarre. At least it hasn't been taken.

How are the Cisco's connected? By VPN? And how many are there?

The 303s are connected via SIP. What i did there was just took another FQDN and logged into the 303s and changed the settings to reflect the new fqdn. rebooted the phones after applying the backup and the phone are now connected. I have been able to make a test call and all appears to be back up and running. I could not have done this without the help that was provided by you eddv123 and the others that took time out of their day to help me. Thank you.. If you ever need ANYTHING let me know.. I have server space if you ever need to co-locate a server in the ALBANY,NY market. Thank you again!.. I am sure I will have many, many more questions as I go along!..

WOW that only took from 3pm yesterday to 3:20pm today to fix.. On to the next problem WHM not sending mail out...but that's for another forum.. hope they are as helpful there as you guys were here.. Thank you again everyone!!
