Is onhold.mp3 copyrighted?

Hello,

We are using 3cx in the UK and because of yet more stupid laws I need to check if the onhold.mp3 music is free for us to use, because can you believe there are government agencies that phone up and check you aren't playing copyrighted music when people are on hold! What's more, all those people that have a radio on at work now have to buy a performing arts licence to do so!

Anyway, if anyone can confirm the copyright of the mp3 that would be great.

Hi,

The onhold file included in 3Cx is free for use to any 3CX user. it has been licensed as royalty free and rights free and that is why it is included. I have heard of scammers in the UK calling up and saying they need to be paid but this prompt included in 3CX is royalty free and fully licensed for 3Cx users!
