Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you can help me with an issue we are having. If I dial +44xxx in the 3CX softphone client, the call is dropped.

If we dial 07xxxx then it works because we have an outbound rule that strips first digit and adds +44.

When i try and do an outbound that looks for a prefix of +44, strips 3 digits and appends 0, this doesn't work either.

Anyone else experienced issues? We are on V20 of 3cx.

Thanks!

Increase the 3CX logging level and check the 3CX log files to see which outbound rule is being used.

Hi,

From your post, you say if you dial 07 strip the zero and add +44 it works - so your trunk expects the +44.

This them would mean that if a number is dialed with +44 already you should not be stripping anything, just matching it and sending it out on that trunk.

Hey guys,

Thank you for your responses, it turned out it was a client-side issue this whole time. I use the 3cx softphone from MS store now and there is an option within 'General options' to replace the +. So I did 3 000s. Then I created an outbound rule to strip the 00044 and prepend 0. My other outbound rule then kicks in and rewrites +44 at start 1767618800786.png

I hope this makes sense. The reason I went with 3 000s is because I already have another outbound rule to catch '00'

Please let me knoe if you have any questions and thank you for the advice!
