We just did the upgrade to 18.0 Update 5 and are having SMS issues with Twilio. I have walked through the new guide and configured everything. I am getting an error on twill and no SMS ever gets to 3CX

Hi @cscit,
Are you having issues texting with US/Canada numbers?

US numbers
Can you send me a direct message with your Voxtelesys account number or phone number? I would like to check into your account/messaging settings and records.

Unfortunately, I am getting the same issue here. Errors for every text. As far as I can tell they do come through, but Twilio is firing off errors like crazy.
Please note that we have identified and fixed the issue for the next update.

We are checking. However, please note Twilio is third party supported only. Last time Twilio made a change in their API which required us to make an update. Twilio does not support you or us at all so its a recipe for disaster.

You should really move to a supported VoIP provider such as Voxtelesys whom we are in constant contact with and who know 3CX well and are able to support you. We are constantly fine tuning settings and testing with supported providers so this is ultimately hugely beneficial to the customer.
Hi,
If 3CX could support a provider for French number, for French Customer and partner, it would be great, so.

Please note that we have identified and fixed the issue for the next update.

Can I know when this next update is due (ball park) ?

If the update is due soon , we will wait, otherwise we will try to find an other SMS provider as a workaround (but that will not be ideal since all our DIDs are in Twilio) .

I have the same "Error - 12300 - Invalid Content-Type: application/json; charset=utf-8 supplied" problem. I am using "18.0 Update 5 (Built 418)".

I can provide more details on the error if needed, I have a lot of details in the Twilio console.

We are planning to release an Alpha version next week. If we don't find any major issues the final release will be out shortly after.

Thank you for the clarification.

Seeing as update 5 is REQUIRED as of December 1st and it breaks SMS for Twilio users to North American numbers (I'm having issues sending to Canadian Numbers).

What's the best course of action to deal with the required update for the SSL certificates vs no longer being able to send SMS.

Just to be clear, what we fixed is the issue that was causing errors on Twilios side. SMS should still be working normally even with the errors being logged in Twilios portal.

If you having issues with SMS not being delivered then you should contact Twilio directly to check your issue.

I can confirm this is NOT the case. SMS do not come in as chat. I may have miss a setting somewhere though, i check again today.

To quote you

"Please note that we have identified and fixed the issue for the next update."

Then

"We are planning to release an Alpha version next week. If we don't find any major issues the final release will be out shortly after."

And as per @pierredavidbelanger they are also having issues still. I can confirm that inbound works, sending does not. I will open an ticket with Twilio support and provide an update once received as per your advise.

Our account rep is advising that the issue "should" be fixed, in update 6...which isn't available yet.

Thank you.

Do any of your supported SMS providers offer "hosted SMS" like Twilio? The reason we use Twilio is we have been doing business with Vitelity for over 15 years and have a great relationship with them. They have provided us with excellent service and pricing and we do not want to move away, but they do not support 3CX SMS/MMS. Twilio hosted SMS/MMS works perfectly for us but it would be nice to have a fully supported provider, if possible.
