Recently we started to use Fanvil V series as a router phones. Since then we have a lot of issues with that. We are seeing that those phones stays unregistered and SBC down. Sometimes customer needs to restart phone to star working again but many times we have to reset phones to factory defaults and reprovision phones from scratch. We are not sure why is this happening. Does anyone else having similar problems? It looks like that Fanvil phone not trying to recover SBC in case of failure. We have some Yealink phones running as a SBC and we are seeing similar issues but we can not tell how often.

Hi @vectra a part from what @SteveITS mentioned I will suggest you to test the same phones with a Hosted by 3cx installation and if you keep having the same issues then open a technical support ticket in order to review your configuration, etc. This should work without any issues.

Also please note that no more than 10 normal phones should be behind the same router phones, I dont know how many normal phones and blf do you have in total.

Hi Alejandro, those phones using latest firmware and setup by default instructions. We are not connecting more that five phones behind same router phone but issue is with router phone by them self. Is SBC lost connection, router phone can not reconnect. It must be rebooted. In many cases this is not helpful. We have reset to factory defaults then reprovision phones.

I wonder if you also opened a ticket with Fanvil about this?

About 2 weeks ago I have had the same issue start to happen. The router phone will not reconnect. A reboot of the phone will not correct it. I found out if I delete the phone and then add it back to the extension in Admin console will correct the issue. Then the customer power cycles their phone and it reconnects. The issue is rare right now so its hard to capture a trace.

In this case there are many things you need to check. The best option is to switch to 3CX Hosted and check the behavior. However it was not mentioned the exact model and firmware version.

I am using the Fanvil V65 with 2.12.16.20 firmware running on self hosted on build 939. The issue is so random I have not been able to capture it.

In those cased if there is any disconnection, the phone is not able to contact the PBX and you may have this issue, however this requires further investigation. You might need to create a ticket to the Technical Support.
