Hello everyone!

We are currently deploying a 3cx system. The virtual machine was installed using the official 3cx iso. Now, we run PROXMOX and I need my guest-tools and I need them updated without manual intervention. I can go into the apt sources, add the Debian Main Buster source and can then install the software. Seems to work, but it turns out, 3cx wipes these settings when updated, which is probably expected behavior as I have also read before to avoid modifying the 3cx sources.

How do I install the package qemu-guest-agent AND keep it updated automatically without circumventing the 3cx repositories?

Greetings

  • 3CX Version, current
  • Server OS, Debian 10 KVM64
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? On Premise
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: Yes

Push. Need the functionality. Zabbix Agent is unavailable through the 3cx repos as well. I don't believe this information to be worth over 70€.

3CX only supports some KVM platforms, but doesn't list which ones are/are not in the requirements. Proxmox is not actually supported per other posts here. Being unsupported comes up from time to time when people ask about their KVM platform. Other than that we don't use Proxmox or Zabbix so I don't have an answer for you.

Thanks for the information.

I think I'll just do it myself then and see what happens. Honestly, I am a bit shocked at how tightly knitted 3cx is. No external repositories, no UEFI, no KVM, no Zabbix.
