"Large" System - SBC when too many phones?

32 License System, 150 Phones. 125 at main office - 25 at remote offices.
PBX is hosted in our datacenter.
Main Office has SBC Linux Cluster with 2 I7 12th Gen PCs
Remote Offices - Router phones.

How do you know when you are overrunning an SBC? We have installed an HA Cluster I7 12th Gen with 32GB of RAM. It has 125 phones on it the stats are like 5% CPU and 5% RAM. (2 line keys and 4 SP and Q IN and Q OUT on each phone so 8 BLFs in use per phone) Support is telling me this is too many phones. How would I know? what starts happening if you "have too many phones"
we have approx 15 active calls going all of the time.

We have a Shared Park issue ticket and support told us we have way to many phones on the SBC. Shared Parking Stuck was user error issue and is resolved and is not an SBC problem. What happens if you have too many phones on a SBC - what are the signs of a problem?

I had another thread asking experts and yes 100 is the limit on i7 8th gen, - but that is very old computer in my opinion. Others said you might be able to run 300 phones on new hardware like this? Just trying to understand the problems that can occur?

I'd expect call quality issues if your SBC was overloaded.

I imagine 3CX are telling you its overloaded because they've benchmarked at "up to 100" as per their system specs.

Id be curious to know if they've tested any higher, which i doubt (they had to stop somewhere right?).

You want the official line or you want this partner's answers?

Officially - 1000 BLFs and 100 SIP registrations.
Unofficially - with your specs, I wouldn't even blink on 250 phones with 3000 BLFs. Your Q in and Q out are not even considered a BLF here.

An overloaded SBC will show symptoms like lagging audio to the PSTN/remote phones, BLFs not updating, and more.
