I'm trying to configure the v16 3CXPhone for Windows to open a URL on phone ring and pass the %CallerNumber% and/or %CallerDisplayName%. From what I can see in the forums, this is a fairly common use case but I haven't yet found an answer that makes sense.

I know can do this using the External Application feature to launch a browser with the right URL. That works, but it needs to be individually configured on the client. It's not something I can easily deploy to people who're now all working from home and using the 3CXPhone client on their own PCs. lt means I need to deal with the complexities of different browsers in different locations on different versions of Windows.

It also seems that this is possible using the legacy plugins, and I know I can deploy those centrally from the extension editor. This seems like the most sensible approach. However, there doesn't seem to be an existing plugin that does a simple screen pop. Everything I've found suggests I would need to develop this myself, but that sounds a lot like reinventing a common wheel.

Does anyone know if there's such a thing as a generic screen pop (legacy) plugin that can simply open a specified URL using the system default browser? One that can be centrally deployed from the admin interface (perhaps with a config file pre-included when I upload it) or that can readily be installed by an end-user without a series of complicated configuration instructions?
