License downgrade on Windows self-hosted on-prem

Hello,
We received information from a partner that to downgrade number of SC calls, we need to re-build the 3CX instance.
Please, can you confirm how it works on Windows self-hosted on-prem deployment?
We did it in past versions, without any special procedure, but partner is saying version 20 is different now.

There is no difference... I think your partner will sell a new licence key and thats why you need to rebuild your pbx. But normally you can downgrade a licence as well and than you dont need to do anything.

3CX doesn’t facilitate downgrading very small licenses IIRC, but as you have Premier status here that probably does not apply. The renew link in their partner portal should allow it.
