Is there a way to limit transfers from an extension. We'd like an incoming DID to go directly to an extension (completed) and the incoming call not be able to search for another extension or transfer out. The user would pickup or the call would go to that extension phone mail. We only want this on the one DID as we have the other extensions properly routed.

You certainly can route a DID to a specific user extension (rather than a queue or IVR). What happens to that call when it arrives at the user extension is based on how the extension is configured. You can, for example, set the destination to voicemail if the call is not answered, the phone is not registered, the presence is Away, etc.

It there something more complicated in your scenario?

Thank you, Matthew - we have that set. However, once the incoming call gets to vm, if they hit *, they go back out and are then rerouted (eventually) to the auto attendant extension/vm. We'd like them to have no options other than extension accepts call, vm, or hang up. I'm sure this can be done but it's not obvious to me what we are missing in our extension setup.

We currently are forcing all calls to VM to get this resolved

On the DID - we have it directed to VM in and out of office hours - that works

On User/Forwarding Rules - we have internal and external calls - forward to vm
We have "accept multiple calls, accept calls from ring groups and accept push notifications approved"
On Phone Provisioning, we left "block access to 3cx apps/webclient, hide forwarding rulies and show call recordings unchecked
On options, block remote phones using stun) is checked
Rights - can see group members and show presence to group members are the only checks

once the incoming call gets to vm, if they hit *
If the user does not know about pressing *, I think most of your problem will be fixed. Have each user record a custom VM message and the press * to reach the operator will no longer be played, Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion! We are there now with the setup... but, we just wanted to see if there was a way to stop this auto transfer to the "operator" account.

There is no way to prevent the transfer that I know of, but if the caller does not know about it than it wont happen

Thank you. I was hoping we missed a way to completely solve the project.
