Setup a new deployment at a client and they are wondering if they can limit ringing to the phone app on their mobile device to only when its a call from an internal extension.
The situation is they want to have a single extension so they can easily see chat on mobile app, but not have the cell ring every call. Besides the mobile app they also have a voip phone connected to their extension and the desktop app as well. They want the voip phone and desktop app ring, but not the cell unless someone internally calls their extension. They are a part of the ring group that gets rung first.
I found a way to achieve something like this, but involves a second extension. By having an extension for the mobile number, I could setup both extensions on the phone, on their primary extension set the phone app to silent. Then if someone calls their mobile extension it will still ring the mobile app, but for the rest of the calls to their primary extension it would not ring the mobile app (just notify).
Is there a way to achieve this behavior with just a single extension?
