Link Avaya S8300 to 3CX

We have an in house 3CX which we would like to connect to a new in house Avaya 38300 but on diffrent networks. We'd like extensions on the Avaya to link to extns on the 3CX and dial both ways. I've been told that this isn't supported on the 3CX although it has been done using bridgeing ive been told. Has anyone achieved this and have any tips ?
