Hi,

currently we have 2 phones that work fine a remote extensions. The issue is that there is a broken phone symbol on these phones after 20 -40 mins on the phones. Sometimes it reconnects 10-15 mins later. But generenally we have to reboot the phones.

I have nat keep alive enabled what else could be causing this?

Thanks

Is the set not registering or not able to register after a certain time? Generally 3CX want to see a registration every 30 minutes. You can set that lower on the device and 3CX will go along with it.

You should see the registration in the 3CX logs for all devices every 30 minutes, you may need to set the logs to verbose. If the set registers properly right after a re-boot, then it doesn't sound like a router/firewall issue.

Did this issue just start ,in other words , were they working just fine up until a while ago, or has it been this way from day one?

Did you give each set a unique port number?

Hi,

we have grandstreams also working as remote extensions and they never disconnect. So it must be a setting or somthing that needs to be changed on the linksys. As for logs 3CX is poor for checking those types of things I think the logs should hold a lot more especially if you have many people using the system!

How would I make the phone relogin after 30 mins?

Thanks

It sounds like it may very well be a settings issue. The logs are retained withing 3CX but even what is available to view, if set to verbose, will show you if the sets are registering and when. You can manually set the registration time withing the Linksys, in seconds. the Linksys default is usually 3600 seconds. Normally 3CX want to see a time of 1800 seconds and will cause the device register that often. You can override that with a shorter time in the device.

You may have other issues that you need to investigate.
