Hi There,

The webpage password for a Yealink T21P_E2 phone was changed but it was not auto provisioned.
I have checked the audit logs but unfortunately the old password is hidden.
Is there a way to reveal the old password so I can use it to login to the phone and auto provision it?

Thanks

Not on that phone in particular, to fully explain I was updating the authentication details of some phones (all are EOL models) to make them more secure, but some did not come back up after doing this (Yealink t20, t26 and T21P_E2). I tried resetting and remotely reprovisioning the T20 and T26 phones, but when rebooting them I get a message that the update was skipped. They don't show as provisioned even though they provisioning details are in the device and the RPS request was received. I was hoping I may be able to recover this phones password to automatically provision it to bring it back online as I'm guessing it will have the same fate as these other EOL phones.

To first clarify a bit, are you saying you changed the extension's auth credentials AND IP Phone GUI password but the IP Phone did not provision so now you do not know what the old IP Phone's GUI password was?

If this is the case, bear in mind that the IP Phones does not auto-reprovision in such cases, it autoprovisions usually every 24hours or if you reboot it. Have you tried rebooting it at all?

EDIT:

My apologies, I missed the fact that you also mentioned T20 and T26. These two models will require that you first disable PCI compliance in the 3CX Management Console under "Security >> Anti-hacking":

They should be able to provision via reboot while the above mentioned option is disabled. Once they re-provision, you can reenable the setting but bear in mind that having it on prevents them from provisioning.

Note: The T21P_E2 should work just fine regardless of this option.

Perfect cheers for that, good to know. The T21P_E2 has come back up on its own.
